The Battle Curling Event Wraps Up at the Plex

The Battle curling event wrapped up at the Port Elgin Plex this past weekend (Sept. 25–27), bringing three elite teams to town for a full schedule of competitive play. The tournament featured Team Rachel Homan, Team Brad Jacobs, and Canada's Paralympic curling team. After day one, Team Homan held the top spot on the standings. The event sold out, drawing curling fans from across the region. It's a great reminder of Port Elgin's place as a hub for world-class sports—and a good reason to keep an eye out for more tournaments heading our way. *Uncle Sam says: Thanks to everyone who came out to cheer on our curlers!*
